At first, there were oil splashes when fried in sunflower oil. At that time, I thought it was caused by potatoes. There was a residue on my pan like machine oil, it couldn't be cleaned and I threw the pan away. When the last two liters remained, the oil became heavy and started to smell chemical, so I threw away about two liters of sunflower oil. The olive oil also started to get heavy and smell the same with about two liters left.
